"Smashed Bananas"

When married daughter was three, #3 daughter was born, and the precocious one asked:
"When will you be giving her smashed bananas?"

The bananas sitting in my fridge right now fit that description. They should have been put in "cold storage" before Shabbat, but I was rather out of it.

So I had better recycle them into a banana cake.

Lots to do today.

A couple years ago I was on the bus, heading home after shopping in the shuk. In the baggage compartment was my Agalah which had most of my groceries (the flat of eggs were sitting beside me on a seat).

When the bus made that wide turn off of Levi Eshkol and onto Shechem, heading towards French Hill, the door to the baggage compartment popped open and several large backpacks, and yes, my Agalah came flying out. Inside the Agalah were about 2 kilo of gorgeous cherries I had splurged on and bought.

When I got home pretty much all of them were bruised. Rather than throw it away, I had one of my daughters pit them and I sent in search of a fresh cherry cobbler recipe.

Man was that gooooood.

Here's the recipe if you're interested: http://tinyurl.com/55rmw2

Great story for kcc. Blog it. I was afraid you had scrambled eggs on your seat.

Perfect lesson for life.
