If it's good enough for Elizabeth Taylor...

I specifically remember reading that Elizabeth Taylor and her young husband, number?, had separate bedrooms. In that case, she was the snorer of the two.

The New York Times article, linked above, discusses the increasing phenomena of couples sleeping in different rooms. The wealthy has always had separate "quarters," bedrooms, sitting rooms etc. Prosperity makes it easy.

interesting article to say the least.
I can't say that it's essentially a bad idea.
When someone has to get up earlier than the other, inevitably both are woken, be it by the alarm or the noise of Negel Vasser.

In the days of multiple wives, each had her tent, and the husband just visited.
