Different Perspective

On Sunday night, Israel's Channel One News was off the air. It was considered more important to show a tennis match live, Israel's present tennis great, Shachar Peer, play Martina Hingis, the world's former number one woman player.

In Israel, Shachar Peer, is "the great white hope," but I couldn't find anything much when I googled her which is strange, since if I google my own name, I get lots of links, and I'm a nobody.

The New York Times barely mentioned the match which had Israel riveted:
Kim Clijsters, seeded second, will face Hingis or Peer, who split sets Sunday and whose fourth-round match was the only one that could not be completed.

The final results were: Pe'er loses to Hingis in French Open
