slept through the night
not disturbed
not even
a snore
broke in
surprised
by
the jingle
of the alarm
rarely heard
usually
up long before
between pelvic floor
and snore
full nights
rare
like being young again
when children beckoned
now
the empty nest
no nightly silence
but nice to know
that a lovely day
better than
all the concoctions
whipped up
by pharmacists

Nothing better than a good nights sleep. Our little one still gets up sometimes, but that is good, too.
